THE STORY
Hi! I'm Cas Donovan. The woman behind the project.
Many people find one true calling in life, and sitting still is not mine. Being a wife, boy mom, and yoga and fitness instructor means some days I'm wrangling a toddler covered in cheerios before teaching a yoga class, while others I'm making dinner and picking up toys after a high vibe workout. On the best days, I get to do it all!
Life didn't always look like this. My immersion into the fitness world began with competitive dance. As a dancer, I understood from an early age the physical benefits fitness offered. The mental health and wellbeing benefits became clear as a young adult when I began weight training. Yoga came into my life after a move north to the Cariboo, and after some encouraging from a close friend, I signed up for my first teacher training and the rest has been a whirlwind.
In the pursuit of growth and an addiction to learning, I strive to continually find new and exciting classes to add to my repetiore and the community. The Lemon Project is what it is, partly in thanks to the South Cariboo Community, specifically 100 Mile House. After a couple of less than ideal life events, I was given the opportunity to participate in a Self-Employment Program aiming to support local entrepreneurs and thus, the Lemon Project began to turn lemons into lemonade.
With fitness, as it is with life, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. At the Lemon Project, it is my goal to bring to you a variety of classes for both mind and body and help guide you to the right fit, whether in studio, outdoors or a location of your choosing.
THE CLASSES
GENTLE
YOGA
GENTLE YOGA follows a hatha style of yoga. Slow and mindful movement alongside longer held postures to allow for a relaxed practice. Movement is linked with the breath and postures are moved into gradually, with a focus on alignment and ease.
FLOW YOGA
FLOW YOGA follows a vinyasa style of yoga. This energizing practive focuses on stamina, strength and breath. Moving dynamically from one posture to another creating the perfect environment to foster the connection between brain, breath and body. This class is suitable for all experience levels.

ROCKOUT.
WORKOUT.
POUND® Rockout Workout is a cardio jam session inspired by the infectious and energizing fun of playing the drums. Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels and easy to modify.
FLOWFIT
FLOWFIT is a non-traditional yoga class combining flow sequences with targeted body weight exercises. Using breathe, body, muscle and movement to stretch and strengthen, this class will have you feeling like you've left it all on the mat!
All fitness levels welcome.
SCULPT
SCULPT follows The Multi Barre Method™️. A class based in physiotherapy methodology and optimal postural alignment theory ensuring safety while achieving a full body workout! Sweat, shake and burn your way to the perfect fitness experience! The results will have you coming back for more! All body types and experience levels welcome.
NIDRA
NIDRA, or Sleep Yoga, is a method of guided meditation. Accessing a deep level of rest and healing, through your parasympathetic nervous system brings a reduction in stress and physical tension while increasing energy levels and thought patterns.
Science shows that 30-40 minutes of Nidra is equivalent to 4-6 hours of deep sleep.
KIDS
YOGA
KIDS YOGA is a fun, and educational class designed for kids to learn about their bodies and the amazing things they are capable of. This class incorporates movement with mindfullness to maintain a healthy mind and body.
Suitable for children ages 2-12.
MEDITATION
WELLNESS MEDITATION is a powerful, non-denominational practice that allows the mind and body to rest and reset. As you bring your body to stillness, you will be guided through a meditation to reduce stress and tension and bring ease and connection to all aspects of life.
ZUMBA
ZUMBA is a dynamic, dance-based fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music with energetic dance moves. It is designed to provide an effective aerobic workout in a fun, and safe setting for all ages. Originating in the 90s, Zumba has grown into a global phenomenon.
